Kate, I want to buy a house. Should I use a real estate agent? I'm not sure where to begin. Or can I get a better deal without one? Thanks, Kim
Dear Kim, As home buyers, we all want a deal. And why wouldn't we? For most Nevadans, a house is the biggest purchase of our lives. But there is another bargain to consider, a Realtor. So shop for a great real estate agent because your Realtor is the most important person in your transaction.
Tip: A great real estate agent is the hero in every transaction.
How do you choose a real estate agent? A big mistake home buyers can make is skipping from agent to agent. Don't! Instead make it your intention to interview three agents and pick one to guide you through the home buying process. Then stick with that Realtor.
Why is interviewing real estate agents so important? Yogi Berra, one of the greatest catchers in baseball history knew...
"If you don't know where you're going, you'll end up somewhere else."I recommend asking all of the Realtors the same questions during an interview and paying attention to how you feel about the answers.
